Empire Theatres and Kids Help Phone would like to thank the thousands of customers across the country that came out to support the first Empire Theatres Movie Day for Kids Help Phone on Saturday, April 5th. This event was held in 41 theatres across Canada, and featured $3 admission prices on select movies. All proceeds raised will go directly to Kids Help Phone’s valuable phone and online counseling service for children and youth across Canada.
 
Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only free, 24-hour, bilingual and anonymous phone and online counseling, referral and information service for children and youth. Every day, professional counselors provide immediate, confidential and caring support to young people living in urban, rural and remote locations right across the country. Children and youth contact Kids Help Phone about every issue imaginable – from school, dating and family problems, to bullying/cyber-bullying, addiction and abuse. In 2007, Kids Help Phone touched the lives of children and youth in need from almost 3,000 Canadian communities more than two million times through its phone and online services.
