SynopsisLab assistant Igor (John Cusack) dreams of becoming a mad scientist like his master, Dr. Glickenstein. When the doctor runs afoul of his own invention, Igor seizes the chance. With the help of his friends Scamper (Steve Buscemi) and Brain (Sean Hayes), Igor plans to win the kingdom's annual science fair by building the most-evil monster ever. The problem is that Eve (Molly Shannon), as the monster is called, is sweeter than sugar and would rather be an actress.

TERRIBLE MOVIE FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN
I brought my 4 1/2 year old grandson to see this movie and we only lasted 15 minutes. I told him we were leaving because it was boring and I wanted to go home and rent a movie. The real reason was it was full of violence, foul language, evil and murder plots, cheating and stealing, demeaning and derogatory toward women. This behavior was deemed to be acceptable. Anyone trying to raise their children with good moral, social and emotional values would find this movie to be horrendous. Taking a young child to see this movie is condoning it. No wonder society is as it is today!! The first review says "good movie, full of violence" HOW IRONIC! What was that woman thinking!!! Empire Theatres should take some responsibility for their viewing audience and suggest 'NOT FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN'!!!!!
Good movie, full of violence
I brought my 4 year old daughter to this movie. We found it was very good but there was a lot of violence, death and evil noted throughout. The plot was very dreary, dark and depressing, until the end (which was pedictable but good for a children's movie)
The movie would have been more suitable for 7-8 year olds versus the younger children.
Definitely not a movie I would rent or buy but a nice afternoon activity.
Yawn!!!!
This movie was boring and, oh so predictable.
