loved it, but it is a chick flick!

I am not usually a sappy kinda chick, but I read this book initially for the sf/time travel aspects and then I fell into the sweet/painful romance of it. I think they did a great job bringing it to the screen, and I had forgotten about the end - more than a few tears!

Excellent !

I thinks it's funny that the only reviews are from people who take the time to write about how much they hated the movie. That's why I decided to write one myself (but a good one).

This movie is, in my opinion, a must see. It's passionate and heart warming. Eric Bana and Rachel Mcadams complete this movie, they fulfill their roles perfectly. It may come across as a sappy love story, but its actually a story on how to look upon life, meaning dont take life for granite because every second counts. I believe thats the message the writers portrayed through the characters in the movie. Those who say this movie is slow, I disagree, the characters meet literally 10 minutes into the movie and begin their journey together. I would just like to give a little advice to those reading, I think you should just go and see the movie for yourself instead of getting everyone elses opinion because the only one that matters is yours.

Not quite what I expected

I did enjoy the movie but it was not what I expected. I think they could have done much more with it.

Slow

1

The Time Traveler's Wife did not meet my expectations. I was totally prepared for the unbelievable aspect of "time travel', but the story line was boring and had no substance. I mean, why did he time travel??? It's not like he could change what happens in the future. If you really want to see it, I would recommend waiting for it to come out on DVD.

OKay

This movie was OK. I took my girlfriend and she even found it on the slow side. Good thing we used our free passes and had lots of popcorn and pop to eat to fill in the gaps.

Great movie

I'm a guy but I love romance movies. Took my girlfriend and I really enjoyed it and now I'm reading the book. This movie caters to a certain niche but if you enjoy this genre, you'll love it.

Boring and a waste of time and money

1

All I had heard about this movie was that it was difficult to follow. I didn't think that it was difficult to follow but that it was really boring and, to me, was a waste of my time and money. The movie is about a couple who are in love but he time travels. That's it ... end of story! And the constant crying when he would leave and then return was just boring because it would just happen over and over again ... there wasn't anything else that really happened. I didn't read the book before seeing the movie and maybe the book didn't translate very well. But I definitely felt like I'd wasted my money and time on this movie. I guess you'd have to be a total sap to enjoy it at all.

Terrible

1

If you are a guy and go to this movie, with wife or gf, make sure you have some popcorn and goodies to pass the time. This movie was poorly written and lacks entertainment value for male audiences. Chick flick to the third degree.

This movie was alright.

This movie was alright. Kinda expected a bit more, so just a heads up, don't expect more than what you see in the previews.. what you see is what you get.
