All ReviewsKyleSNL thought it was SO-SO 1 year ago Comments: This movie was alright, not the best I've seen though. I went into the theatre with high expectations but sadly, I left a little disappointed. MovieMan84 thought it was TRASH and LAME 1 year ago Comments: This movie was pathetic. Seems like the director spent all their time and efforts into making special effects for the afterlife part that they forgot about the rest of the movie. Boring, long, horrible...... I cant say enough bad things about this waste of film. My gf who picked it even said it was bad. yatesee5 thought it was GR8 and OMG 1 year ago sarcestewart 2 years ago Comments: An extremely well directed movie. The actors were great and the cinematography was excellent. So much was shown with just and expression. Emotional and realistic. soldham thought it was BLAH 2 years ago Comments: sooooooo disapointed in this movie! Brinny-chan thought it was SO-SO 2 years ago Comments: Great effects, great story, but slow dialogue and confusing scenes seem to make it very confusing to people who haven't read the book (I have, went with a friend who hadn't). rawsugar thought it was SAD 2 years ago Comments: This movie made me cry and I found it very haunting and scary in parts but thought it was well done, scary to think there are really people like that in our world pvp thought it was SMART and GR8 2 years ago Comments: The movie dealt with a difficult subject very tastefully. A little slow moving, but a long movie is a nice change; a good value. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. Stephy88 thought it was SO-SO 2 years ago Comments: I like the movie separate from book! The book will awalys be better. But the movie is so-so. mcarr21 thought it was FIERCE 2 years ago Comments: The book as way more to offer however the movie was majestic and beautiful acted! Kudos for Stanley for taking this role! Very brave cbcaper47 2 years ago Comments: Should have saved, my money, very bizarre movie with a bunch of hokey special effects and it dragged on and on and on! Did help with all the chatters sitting behind me, most people go to a movie to watch it and not socialize the whole time. madd855 thought it was FIERCE and SAD 2 years ago mayberrymoviegurl thought it was WHOA 2 years ago Comments: A bit long and drawn out and not for those of us who have daughters. I spent 3/4 of the movie clutching the front of my sweater in a death grip.
Well acted though. Fellabella21 thought it was SAD 2 years ago Comments: it was pretty good cause i saw it for my birthday with all my 10 friends;) so0z1 thought it was GR8 2 years ago Comments: You definately have to read the book. I think its a waste of time for people who don't since they don't fully understand the whole story.I think they did a good job covering the basic idea of the story but as usual alot of things were left out. Not too many things changed though, mostly left out.I think we needed to see more of Mark Wahlbergs role.Overall, i liked it ! md1979 2 years ago Comments: I have no idea why the critics were so... critical with this film! I thought it was heart wrenching and beautiful. The acting was superb; the 70s vibe came through well; the film was true to the book and the cinematography was great. crowerrex thought it was TRASH 2 years ago Comments: This was honestly one of the worst movies of all time, right up there with some of the real bombs. A dissapointing and way over the top movie, a little to immaginative by peter jackson on this one. Dissapointing for a Mark Wahlberg film. Giving this one two thumbs down. Save your money on this one people. ninetoes thought it was BLAH 2 years ago Comments: longest movie I have ever sat through. Would have made a good 1/2 outer limits tv show. Sistes disliked it also. Never read the book and only went because pf previews.Waste of money on our parts. muisealison 2 years ago Comments: This movie would be enjoyed more if you read and liked the book. I thought they did a fantastic job of bringing the book to life. tracylea78 thought it was SO-SO 2 years ago Comments: This movie was just OK in my opinion. Good acting but the bouncing around was really annoying. katcullensparrow7 thought it was FIERCE and SAD 2 years ago Comments: I enjoyed this movie but the beginning seemed a little but to corny for my taste. I loved how everyone was really into the movie in the theatre. I was on the edge of my seat at one point. I laughed at it too though becuase it seemed very stupid at a few parts. I guess I'm just not very sappy. But I got goosebumps, and I almost cried so yes I would see this movie again definetly Pinkqueen thought it was EPIC and FAB 2 years ago Comments: wow, it looks like a really good movie =D lovely_maya.bones thought it was WHOA and OMG 2 years ago Comments: AAA....MMMAAAA....ZZZIIINNNGGGGG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! empire41727 thought it was OMG 2 years ago Sare84 2 years ago LaytonJustin thought it was SMART and SAD 2 years ago Comments: Amazing Film! I saw this in an advanced screening and loved every minute of it. The acting is amazing, especially from Saoirse Ronan. And the writing was fantastic. Despite the bad reviews from a lot of the critics I think you have to have your own opinion of this. Peter Jackson has earned my respect as a director.
