DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
This movie was a huge waste of money!! We took 3 children (2 12 y/o and a 10 y/o) and were greatly disappointed. The language and sexual references were incredibly tacky and disgusting. The "action' part of the movie was horribly fake. This movie was poorly made and stupid. PG 13 or 14A would have been more accurate. I didn't know much about the movie, and let the kids choose, and since they'd seen UP and Nite of the Museum, I thought this one would be like Journey to the Center of the Earth type of movie, but it was a badly made spoof, and not even that funny. Save your $60 and do something else!! Sitting in traffic would have been a better use of our time.
Hilarious
This was a very funny movie and i would recammend it to anyone. It would be a good family movie as it was funny and easy to follow. The rating was accurete. The plot was suspenseful and it was a very enjoyable movieto say the least.
Land of the Lost
How can you manage to go wrong with Will Farrell. The movie itself had a lot of sexual innuendos, but it was funny. I liked it and never took offense to it personally, but i can see how some other people could. The movie itself did have a few inaccuracies, however for stupid comedy, it wins out.
Parental Warning - Not suitable for children
Hello, we went to the theater last night with our 2 sons and another boy. The boys decided on Land of the Lost (since we arrived to late for Night at the Museum) and we agreed as it was rated PG however, this rating is horribly inaccurate. The film shows a cup with female breasts on it, scenes with female breast fondling, implied masturbation, profuse swearing, extremely suggestive sexual content, Drug use, smoking, drinking. There was absolutely no indications of this content when we purchased the tickets, and we as parents were (and still are) horrified that this is presented to our children as ok to watch?
I am disgusted and would suggest the rating be changed to 14A at the least.
Aside from this, the movie had no substance and lacked any intelligence. It did not pay homage to the original, other than borrowing some characters.
Very disappointing.
