Synopsis"The Invention of Lying" takes place in an alternate reality in which lying--even the concept of a lie--does not even exist. Everyone--from politicians to advertisers to the man and woman on the street--speaks the truth and nothing but the truth with no thought of the consequences. But when a down-on-his-luck loser named Mark suddenly develops the ability to lie, he finds that dishonesty has its rewards. In a world where every word is assumed to be the absolute truth, Mark easily lies his way to fame and fortune. But lies have a way of spreading, and Mark begins to realize that things are getting a little out of control when some of his tallest tales are being taken as, well, gospel. With the entire world now hanging on his every word, there is only one thing Mark has not been able to lie his way into: the heart of the woman he loves.ProducersDan Lin, Lynda Obst, Oly Obst, Ricky Gervais

Epiphany: The Movie
Wow.. If your having any questions about lifestyle, religion, or people in general... this movie will either completely offend you or CHANGE your life for good.
now thats obivious not true but this movie makes you believe that it is... this movie was hilarious if you are not morally bound and do not get offended by mocking references to the christian faith then you will enjoy this film...Yes their is lots of mockary of the religion but its in good taste
Still a good laugh and a very weird yet amazing plot to the overall movie. worth a view with your friends.
I Left In The Middle
It's Anti-Christian themes made me and my fiance uncomfortable.
Just OK
This movie was just OK. If I could do it over, I think I'd rent it rather than go to the theare. The people in the movie were like toddlers that didn't understand that "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." It did have it's funny moments so I'd rent it.
