Classic Tarantino
This is a classic Tarantino film. With this movie you get exactly what you expect. A WWII film that has extended periods of dialogue, classic Tarantino subtle humor, a lot of main characters, a lot of main characters dying, a boat load of very graphic violence, lots of intentional overacting. Classic Tarantino, and if you understand this before the movie starts, you will enjoy it.
Boring
At first it was good and it seemed like it would be a good movie near the end. As the time went on it got worse and I began checking to see when it would be over. Not a good movie as the scenes seem to go on forever and just gets boring. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone...
Abosolutely, the wors...whoops, BEST movie of the summer!
Tarantino really knocked this out of the park, great scripting, with a perfect balance of action, well worth seeing again!
P.S.: For the folks who don't like good dialogue in a movie, don't see this, you may collapse of inability to comprehend this movie for what it truely is, a masterpiece
Great
This was a great movie and people who say otherwise have really bad taste in movies.
Not what i expected...
From the trailers..i was expecting non-stop action . The first 2 hrs was SLOW, 80% SUB-TITLES...so bring you glasses. last half hr was things blowin up.
This movie was Way over hyped.
terrible
Great actors but likly one of the worse movies I've seen.Tarantino at his worse. He lost a few fans with this one no doubt.senseless.
Save your money...see something else
A group from my house went to see this movie last weekend, and everyone actually WALKED OUT of the movie about half way through. That was all they could take, they said it was the WORST movie they had ever seen. They kept waiting and waiting to see if they were going to like it, they even contemplated trying to move to another theatre and catch another movie but it too late - it was the last show time of the night. My daughter was so mad that she wasted her money on this film. So heads up, if you love Tarantino then you probably wont care, but if you are looking for a good movie to see, you might want to choose something else.
Amazing...Satisfied
Very happy with this film. You get Tarantino at his best. Not too much Brad Pitt which is good but when you do see him it's priceless. Brilliant movie, will go see it again. For a Tarantino obsessed fan, i was truly satisfied...but wondering how long it will take for me to get my next fix. Go see this movie....NOW!!!!
*****
Great movie : D
Kso,
Im 14, I went with my mom and I loved this movie. (:
we both thought that the movie waqs going to be more about the jews getting revenge, but it was still good!
There could've been a lot of gore, but there wasnt.
The plot was awesome. Even if its not a true movie, I think you should see it if you can !

Typical Tarantino
This is exactly like most Tarantino movies, lots of talking punctuated by violence and then a sense of wierdness and goulish humour. The actor playing the main german actor steals the show with his outlandish behavior. If you expected a lot of Brad Pitt then you are going to be disappointed but he is one of the weaker actors in the movie so that is not a bad thing. Mike Myers has a cameo but it is very different from the "Mike Myers" of his movies.
Too much talking, not enough Brad Pitt
Okay, i've got some good and some bad to say about this movie. So lets start with the good.
The movie is funny in many parts and every single scene with Brad Pitt in it is worth while. The action scene at the end is worth seeing over and over again and I would gladly come to this movie two hours late just to see it once more.
However, for the first two hours of the movie, it is nothing but, talk...talk..talk...*snore*...talk. If your looking for a movie with action (like I was) then don't see this movie. I didn't really capture most of the drama in the talking scenes because I kept drifting off, but maybe that's because I was expecting way too much out of this film.
Over all, a funny movie with some good parts and good-to-know characters, but the small but great action scene at the end just doesn't cut it for the two hours of my life that I won't ever get back. Brad Pitt was funny, as so is the caption of this being a 'War' film.
Peace Out!
Basterds
Not near the usual amount of gore for a Tarantino movie and it payed off. The plot was well scripted not contrived. The characters all had depth and colour. Waltz was outstanding as the "quirky/megalomaniacal" SS officer. Highly recommend it.
