Average Review (6 reviews) SynopsisThe year is 2019. A mysterious plague has swept over the earth, transforming the majority of the world's population into vampires. Humans are now an endangered, second-class species -- forced into hiding as they are hunted and farmed for vampire consumption to the brink of extinction. It's all up to Edward Dalton, a vampire researcher who refuses to feed on human blood, to perfect a blood substitute that might sustain vampires and spare the few remaining humans. But time and hope are running out -- until Ed meets Audrey, a human survivor who leads him to a startling medical breakthrough. Armed with knowledge that both humans and vampires will kill for, Ed must battle his own kind in a struggle that will decide the fate of the human race.CastEthan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Sam Neill, Isabel Lucas, Jay Laga'aia, Vince Colosimo, Claudia Karvan, Christopher Kirby, Renai Caruso, Michael DormanProducersChris BrownUser Reviews To post a movie review, please login. All Reviewsspacystacey thought it was FAB 2 years ago Comments: I really enjoyed the movie, it was what I expected from the genre , along the lines of underworld which I really liked as well katcullensparrow7 thought it was LAME 2 years ago Comments: I thought this was a horrible movie. The trailer was a poser just trying to make you think it was going to be amazing but it really sucked. I laughed at the stupidity I would rather eat dirt then watch this movie again!! sassyfrace thought it was LAME 2 years ago Comments: So not worth watching and if you still feel the need to watch it then rent it. Not at all what I expected, wimpy and whiny vamps. My sisters and I laughed throughout the whole movie. Mike87 thought it was EPIC and FIERCE 2 years ago Comments: From the beginning to the end the movie was frightening and interasting at the same time. The action is intense creative and and just plain awesome. The best Vampire movie since "From Dusk Till Dawn". A very creative film. sarahbu thought it was BLAH 2 years ago Comments: This really wasn't what I wanted it to be, it is a really good premise, but overall the plot wasn't great, there was only one actor worth mentioning (Sam Neill...but Willem Dafoe was great if you liked corny humour) I'd say rent it! I probably would like it more if I havent' been so disappointed by vampire movies lately ash_fevens thought it was LOL 2 years ago

I gave it a 2/5 just for my husband, he hated it, but I liked it, didn't love it but thought it was ok. It is extremely gorey, not really much of a storyline, but Willem Defoe makes for some comedic moments that give some entertainment to the movie. My husband says "its the type of movie we have all seen a 100 times" and he is right. Nothing new or original and there are so many more movies playing right now that are more entertaining and worth paying for a night out! Definetly wait for video...... : )
