Q. Do Empire Gift Cards have an expiry date?

  • No! Empire Gift Cards do not have an expiry date. They can be used towards box office admission any day, for any film (even pass restricted films), as well as all concessions purchases.

Q. Do Empire Gift Cards have any fees associated with them?

  • No! Empire Gift Cards do not have any fees associated with using the cards.

Q. Where can my Empire Gift Card be redeemed?

  • Empire Gift Cards are redeemable at all Empire Theatres locations across Canada. Find a location nearest you now by choosing your province.

Q. Where can I purchase Empire Gift Cards?

  • Empire Gift Cards can be purchased at any Empire Theatres locations across Canada.
  • Empire Gift Cards are available at various retailers across the country such as: Sobeys, Lawton, Safeway, Loblaws, etc.

Q. What are the terms and conditions for my Empire Gift Card?

  • This card may be used towards the purchase of Empire Theatres' admission and concessions. No value until activated. This card may not be redeemed for cash, cheque or credit. The card balance will not be replaced or refunded if the card is lost, stolen or destroyed. Use of this card constitutes acceptance by the card holder of these terms and conditions governing its use, which may be amended by Empire Theatres from time to time.

Q. How can I reload my Empire Gift Card?

  • Your Empire Gift Card can be used over and over, all year round and can be reloaded for any value between $10.00 and $500.00.

  • You can reload at any of our Empire Theatres locations.

Q. How can I check the balance on my Empire Gift Card?

  • Visit an Empire Theatres location nearest you and have our friendly staff check the balance for you.
  • When you make a purchase at the box office or refreshments, your remaining balance will appear on your receipt.
  • Contact the Customer Service number at 1-800-454-7764. Make sure to have your card number ready.

Q. How can I register my Empire Theatres Gift Card?

  • Unfortunately, the gift card registration program is no longer available.

Q. Is your website secure?

  • Protecting the safety of your credit card information is very important to us. We use HTTPS technology to protect the security of your credit card information as it is transmitted to us. HTTPS is the standard in internet encryption technology, and is a highly sophisticated method of scrambling data as it travels from your computer to our servers.

Q. Can I purchase online? When will my order be processed?

  • Yes, you can purchase our Empire Gift Cards online. All orders received online will be shipped on the next business day. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays will be shipped on the next business day.

Q. How can I pay for my Empire Gift Cards?

  • When placing an order online we accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
  • When purchasing directly from an Empire Theatres location you can use cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

Q. Can I change my online order after it has been placed? How can I check the status of my order?

  • To see if a correction can be made or check your order status, email orders@empiretheatres.com or call (902) 755-7696. Please ensure that the information you have provided for your purchase is correct before submitting, as Empire Theatres cannot be responsible for orders sent to an incorrect address.

Q. Can I order Empire Gift Cards from outside of Canada?

  • Yes, you can purchase Empire Gift Cards from outside Canada. If you have your purchase shipped within Canada, the shipping and handling remain the same as for a standard Canadian order (see Shipping and Handling Costs below). The receipt for your purchase will be sent to your home mailing address at no extra cost.

Q. What currency are your Empire Gift Cards in? What currency will show on my credit card statement?

  • Empire Gift Cards are sold in Canadian Funds. If you have a Canadian credit card, then you will be charged in Canadian Funds. For US customers, your statement will show the US equivalent of your total purchase. Empire Theatres will be the name on your credit card statement.

Q. How will my order be shipped?

 

Orders Shipped within Canada
  • Orders will be sent by one of the following two options:

 

NS/NB/PE: Express: $8.00, Priority: $10.00
NL: Express: $11.00, Priority: $20.00
ON/MB/AB/BC: Express: $11.00, Priority: $17.50
United States $25.00 

Express = Insured; 2-3 days
Priority = Insured; 1-2 days

All orders fulfilled and mailed from Nova Scotia.

Orders may be sent out via courier for an additional charge. Please contact at orders@empiretheatres.com or (902) 755-7696 for rates and availability. 

Orders Shipped outside Canada
  • Orders may be sent to an address outside of Canada for $25.00.

Q. What are the terms and conditions relating to my online purchase? What is the return policy?

  • Empire Theatres is not responsible for undelivered merchandise due to incorrect address information or misdirection by carrier. The purchaser will be responsible for any additional shipping costs involved in re-shipping returned packages.
  • There are no refunds or exchanges on Empire Gift Card purchases, whether purchased online or at a theatre location.
